The SoftClaw Bit is designed for really soft formations and actually drills better in these formations than our standard design with a pilot bit.
The SoftClaw offers rapid penetration in clay and soft shale and can be rotated at higher speeds.
The large opening in the center of the body increases circulation and assists in cuttings removal.
This bit is especially effective in drilling surface holes.
